Guidelines for board exam preparation, academic honesty, digital study ethics, and responsible learning practices for students across India.

Student Code of Academic Conduct & Study Ethics

To help every learner achieve true academic excellence while upholding the highest standards of integrity, NCERT Classes outlines the following essential Do’s and Don’ts for board exam preparation and digital study.

Do’s

For Board Exam Preparation (CBSE & State Boards)

  • Read Original NCERT Textbooks Thoroughly: Treat the NCERT textbook as your primary scripture. Every question in CBSE/RBSE board papers is rooted directly in the textbook lines and exemplar problems.
  • Write Daily Answer Formulations: Do not merely read notes passively. Practice writing 3-mark and 5-mark subjective answers by hand to develop time management and structured paragraph presentation.
  • Master Diagrams and Formulas: Practice scientific ray diagrams, chemical equations, circuit diagrams, and mathematical derivations on blank paper without looking at solutions.
  • Solve Previous 5 Years Question Papers (PYQs): Attempt past board papers under real 3-hour examination conditions with a countdown timer to build exam-day stamina.
  • Maintain Healthy Study Intervals: Follow the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes of intensive conceptual focus followed by a 5-minute restorative break).
  • Verify Errata Directly: If you encounter confusing questions across different reference guides, cross-check them against official NCERT definitions or consult our academic desk.

For Safe Digital Learning

  • Use Official Portals: Always access learning materials directly through ncertclasses.com and official subdomains.
  • Protect Your Personal Identity: Keep your student login credentials, passwords, and phone numbers confidential.
  • Practice Digital Wellbeing: Maintain proper ergonomic posture, ensure adequate room lighting, and take screen pauses during extended study sessions.

Don’ts

For Academic Integrity

  • Do Not Rely on Paper-Leak Rumours or Unverified Guess Papers: Avoid fraudulent Telegram channels, fake YouTube “viral question paper” claims, or speculative shortcuts. True confidence stems only from conceptual mastery.
  • Do Not Engage in Plagiarism or Exam Malpractice: Copying in school pre-boards or board examinations destroys conceptual clarity and invites severe statutory penalties under Board Examination Bye-Laws.
  • Do Not Neglect Internal Assessments (20 Marks): Consistent submission of class notebooks, practical files, and periodic unit test attendance account for 20% of your board aggregate!
  • Do Not Leave Subjective Answers Disorganized: Avoid writing lengthy, unbroken blocks of text. Always break complex answers into numbered bullet points with bold keywords and underlined terminology.

For Online Safety

  • Never Share Financial Information: NCERT Classes is 100% free and will never request bank details, UPI PINs, credit card numbers, or OTPs from students or parents.
  • Report Inappropriate Behaviour: If any user attempts cyber-bullying, harassment, or commercial solicitation within study discussion groups, report it immediately to our Student Grievance Desk.
